Before buying matching pantry containers, check what you already have. Pasta sauce jars, jam jars, and pickle jars all work fine once the labels are soaked off (warm water + a few drops of dish soap for 10 minutes).
Use a paint marker on the lid to label contents — it wipes off with rubbing alcohol when you want to reuse the jar for something else.
